Lacrosse: Millers girls cruise on Senior Night

The Noblesville girls lacrosse team had a successful Senior Night Monday, as the Millers cruised past Harrison 18-0.
Eleven different players scored at least one goal for Noblesville, including five of the seniors. Maya Hill led the way with four goals and one assist, followed by Rylee Reagan with three goals, Isabel Imes and Ava McCall with two each and Aubrey Arms with one. The Millers won 70 percent of the draws, with Imes making five draw controls, the leader in that stat.
Senior defenders Kate Seiler and Lindsey Wilson led the defense; Wilson was making her season debut after suffering an injury prior to the beginning of the season. Maddie Reel was 100 percent in saves as goalkeeper.
Noblesville has nine seniors in its program, eight players and a manager.
Aubrey Arms is a defender who has been with the program for four years. She plans to attend Indiana State next year and major in art.
Lindsey Wilson is also a defender who has been with the program four years. Next year she will attend IU studying Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences.
Maya Hill has been an attack with the program for four years. Health Sciences will be her major at Purdue next year.
Isabel Imes has been with the program for seven years as a midfielder. In the fall, Imes will play soccer at Grand Valley State University and study Physicians Assistant Studies with Exercise Science.
Kate Seiler has been with the program for three years as a defender. Next year Kate plans to study Psychology at Indiana University.
Maddie Reel has been a goalkeeper with the program for the past five years. She plans to continue her goalkeeping while majoring in Nursing at Bethel University.
Ava McCall has been playing attack for four years for the Millers. She will continue her lacrosse career at Trine University and study on the Pre-Physician Assistant track.
Rylee Reagan is another four-year attack with the program. Next year, she plans to attend Indiana University.
Gracen Leo is the varsity manager this year. Next year she will attend Ball State University to study Psychology.

Hamilton Southeastern’s boys team improved to 7-4 for the season with a Monday win over Brownsburg, by the score of 11-4.
The No. 2-ranked Royals led 2-1 after the first quarter, then found their rhythm and put in four goals in the second quarter for a 6-2 halftime lead.
Southeastern held the Bulldogs to one goal in each period. Royals junior Colin Krekeler led the way in the backstop, also collecting three ground balls. Hayden Grace and Nolan Knies both picked up four ground balls.
The Southeastern seniors led the way in scoring. Louden Sundling had four goals, four ground balls and one assist, followed by Garrett Smith with three goals, two assists and a ground ball. Blaine Wertz added two goals and picked up a ground ball, Michael Mattaliano had one goal and once caused turnover, and Grayson Trede had one goal and a ground ball.
The Royals’ junior varsity won 9-0, with freshman Max Kemp leading on offense. The JV’s record is 5-2.
Southeastern hosts No. 1-ranked Cathedral on Friday.

The Carmel girls team beat Culver Academies 13-2 Monday.
Eight different Greyhounds players scored, with Tori Tomalia putting in four goals to lead the offense. Anna Dumke and Breckin Hare both scored two goals, with Dumke also dishing out three assists. Reese Keetle, Avery Goehl, Pey Henney, Hollis Rang and Sophie Mock each had one goal. Olivia Slowey led the defense with two caused turnovers and a ground ball, with Racel Popowics, Kate Strydesky, Evalyn Bellotti and Goehl all having solid defensive games as well.
On Saturday, Carmel hosted Kentucky Country Day School and won 11-8. Brookelyn Jenkins had five saves in the second half to lead her team’s defense. The Greyhounds’ defense was strong all around; Bellotti and Tomalia both collected three ground balls, while Popowics scooped up two ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Dumke had three goals and one assist, with Rang and Mock also putting in three goals. Tori Tomalia and Hare both scored one goal, and Tori Tomalia and Elle Tomalia both had one assist.
Carmel’s next game is Thursday at Guerin Catholic.
