January 5, 1956 – April 23, 2026
Kristi Luan Arpasi (Waterman, Greene), 70, Shelbyville, Ind., passed away on April 23, 2026, after a harrowing battle with ALS. She was born on January 5, 1956, in Noblesville to John and Joyce Waterman.
A true artist, Kristi excelled across a host of arts, mastering multiple instruments including bassoon and piano, painting, basket weaving, sketching, furniture restoration, and most notably, floral design. A world-class florist, she was the artistic talent behind Greene Florist, later Kristi Greene Designs, for over three decades. Kristi trained (though, certainly unnecessarily) at the renowned Hixson School of Floral Design, and in 2006, she achieved her longtime professional goal of becoming AIFD-certified through the American Institute of Floral Designers – an accreditation bestowed only to the nation’s top florists. Her love of animals, particularly rescue dogs, was only surpassed by her faith and her love for her grandchildren, where she never missed an opportunity to drop everything to spend time with them.
In addition to her parents, Kristi was preceded in death by her husband, David Arpasi.
She is survived by her son, Robb Greene (Erin); three grandchildren, RG, Flora, and Lucy Greene; brother, Rick (Marsha) Waterman; sisters, Amy (Steve) Miller, Marcia (Mike) Perez, Kelly Ginder, and Jamie Waterman.
Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 1, 2026, at the United Pentecostal Church of Noblesville, 1516 Morton St. The Funeral Service will begin at noon.
Burial will follow in Crownland Cemetery, Noblesville.
Given Kristi’s life calling, flowers are certainly welcomed, or donations in honor of Kristi may be made to the ALS Association of Indiana, 7202 E 87th St., Ste 102, Indianapolis, IN 46256.
Bussell Family Funerals is privileged to assist the family in arrangements.
