Dear Editor:

Is anyone else as aggravated and disgusted as I am with the extremely negative campaign flyers, which include name-calling and lies, being received in your mail for a candidate opposing Senator Jim Buck for the Indiana State Senate District 21?

Interestingly enough, if you look closely you will read: “PAID FOR BY CLUB FOR GROWTH ACTION, AND NOT AUTHORIZED BY ANY CANDIDATE’S COMMITTEE.”

Do you really want your State Senator to be funded by outside monies? This would result in your State Senator not following the wishes of his constituents but rather following the wishes and dictates of outsiders who are funding the opponent’s campaign, the CLUB FOR GROWTH ACTION.

This very negative campaign against Senator Jim Buck is a result of Senator Buck who simply did his job by casting a no vote on redistricting, which represented the expressed opinions of his constituents. At the time that redistricting for Indiana was voted down, it was made very clear in the national press that ANY CANDIDATE who would oppose redistricting would have an opponent with outside financing in the current election. Thus, these ugly and negative flyers opposing Senator Jim Buck are supporting ANY CANDIDATE who has chosen to be bound by the outside money donators rather than by the wishes of Indiana residents who have been well served by Senator Buck.

REMEMBER: A vote for Jim Buck is a vote for the candidate who is very much tuned into the wishes of the constituents of Indiana Senate District 21.
