Dear Editor:
I am writing this letter in support of my longtime friend, Bill Gutrich, for State Representative, District 24.
Our existing representative, Donna Schaibley, has been an amazing advocate for her community and has represented her district with class. She understands the needs of the residents and businesses that make Hamilton County one of the best places to live in America. I believe that a thorough understanding of the community and the issues that impact it, as both a resident and business owner, are important for her replacement.
He and his wife, Janet, are longtime residents of Hamilton County, having raised their three children here in our community. Bill’s understanding and unwavering support for our first responders was instilled early as the son and nephew of police officers, firefighters, and nurses. His involvement in many political campaigns, including walking for Donna just two years ago, demonstrates his steadfast support of the leadership principles that have made Hamilton County great. His commitment to public service is also evident through his charitable work and youth coaching.
Bill and his wife are small business owners that currently operate three franchise pet supply stores in central Indiana. He also has worked in corporate America in the food service, technology, and agriculture industries.
When I ran for office several years ago, I became the first Westfield representative of District 4 on the County Council. It was clear that residents wanted a person that understood the needs of our residents, was a vocal supporter of our community, knew the importance of our schools and public safety, and understood the needs of our business community.
Bill Gutrich checks all those boxes; that is why I am asking for your support.
