Kathy graduated from Taylor High School in Kokomo in 1982, and in 1984 from Ivy Tech with an associate’s degree. Kathy married Bruce, the love of her life, on June 11, 1988. Kathy was a loan processing agent with Irwin/Freedom Mortgage for nearly 30 years. She was a lifetime member of the National Corvette Museum, and a member of The Bowling Green Assembly Corvette Club, both in Bowling Green, Ky. Kathy loved driving her Corvette and attending multiple auto racing events nationwide, including Corvette Racing and Petit LeMans, the Indianapolis 500, and NHRA Nationals. She loved all animals and faithfully supported many animal charities, both locally and nationally. Kathy was an extremely talented amateur photographer, sharing her pictures with her many groups and colleagues in both the Corvette and Cadillac XLR worlds. Kathy traveled in her Corvette multiple times to her favorite places: the Indiana State Fair, the Corvette Museum, and The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C.

She will be missed terribly by her beloved husband of 34 years, Bruce Aspaugh; her mother, Jean Barnhart; father, Terry Shrock; brothers, Ryan (Joan) Shrock and Brad Barnhart; brothers-in-law, Brian (Kris) Ashpaugh and David (Donna) Ashpaugh; nieces, Cheyenne Shrock and Reagan Ashpaugh; her friend of 51 years that introduced Kathy and Bruce, Meschelle Sahli Dolak of Ft. Myers, Fla.; as well as her many friends worldwide who shared her love of Corvettes.

Kathy was preceded in death by her stepfather, William “Barney” Barnhart.
