Katherine “Katie” Collins, 34, Carmel, passed away on May 14, 2021. She was born on February 21, 1987 in Indianapolis, daughter of the late John R. Collins and Debra Swails Collins Kemp.

Katie attended Carmel High School and Walnut Grove Classical School. She attended Purdue University Global for medical transcription. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for a number of years. Katie was an avid reader and excelled in academics. Her favorite pastime was singing to and snuggling with her two beautiful daughters, whom she loved deeply. Katie desired to be a good mother, deeply loved her family and friends, and had such a big heart. Katie was gifted in that she was a wonderful listener and allowed everyone she met to feel valued.

Katie was a member of the Home of Grace Alumni Group and Valley of Grace Alumni Group.

The memory of her bright blue eyes, big smile, and larger than life laugh will never be forgotten. Our broken hearts will forever feel the loss and emptiness of her absence.

Those left to cherish Katie’s memory are her daughters, Audrey Collins and Adelyn Collins; mother, Debra (Dave) Kemp; sister, Sarah (DJ) Smith and their children, Easton Smith, Abbott Smith and Berkley Smith; sister, Laura Collins and her children, Jamison Riner and Alexandra Smith.
