Kaleo to share information & insight on addiction

Kaleo, based in Indianapolis, will present an educational event for members and guests in the community. The evening is planned for Thursday, April 30 at the Ritz Charles, 12156 N. Meridian St., Carmel. Doors open at 6 p.m. with a light dinner. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The theme for the evening will be “Understanding Addiction: The Impact on Individuals, Families and Communities.”

Various speakers are lined up for the event, among those are Lisa Hall, who recently created a moving documentary titled The Addict’s Wake, telling the stories of recovery, relapse, and redemption. There will also be a representative from Indiana Family Institute. Other speakers will touch on a variety of topics, including personal experience with recovery from addiction.

Kaleo works to partner with ministries in the Indianapolis area through equipping, giving, and serving. Founded in 2008, Kaleo has several focus areas including Biblical Justice, Education, Homelessness, Refugees, and Women and Children in Crisis.
