The Rotary Club of Carmel announces that Justin Moffett, Chief Executive Officer of Old Town Companies, has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Rotary Outstanding Service Award (ROSA).

Established in 1988, the Rotary Outstanding Service Award is presented annually to a non-Rotarian who exemplifies the Rotary ideals of Service Above Self, high ethical standards, and a demonstrated commitment to strengthening the Carmel community through service and leadership.

“Justin Moffett’s vision, leadership, and commitment to community development have visibly changed the face of Carmel and left a lasting impact on Carmel and Clay Township,” Rotary Club of Carmel President Doug Willard said. “Through innovative projects, community partnerships, and a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life for residents of all ages and abilities, Justin exemplifies the values this award was created to recognize.”

Moffett has played a significant role in shaping Carmel’s growth and vibrancy through numerous community-centered initiatives, including:

  • Transforming Carmel through the development of high-quality residential communities that support the city’s vision for growth while emphasizing walkability, architectural integrity, and neighborhood connectivity.
  • Leading redevelopment efforts in Midtown Carmel, including the creation of Midtown Plaza, a destination gathering space that brings together residents, families, businesses, and visitors.
  • Supporting Fields Market Garden, an innovative urban agriculture program that provides employment opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities, leadership experiences for Carmel High School students, and locally grown flowers and produce for the community.
  • Developing North End, one of Central Indiana’s first fully integrated housing models, which includes approximately 40 apartment homes specifically designed for residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities within a mixed-income, mixed-use neighborhood.
  • Serving as a longtime sponsor of the Carmel Farmers Market for the past 13 years, helping sustain one of the region’s most successful community markets.
  • Contributing to the preservation of Carmel’s heritage through service on the Carmel Historic Preservation Commission.

Moffett was formally recognized during the Rotary Club of Carmel’s luncheon meeting held Friday, June 5 at Woodland Country Club. As part of the honor, his name will be permanently inscribed on the Rotary Outstanding Service Award plaque located at Rotary Plaza in Carmel. He will also be recognized by the community during the 2026 CarmelFest Fourth of July Parade.

“My life has been guided by the example of my parents, grandparents, and a multitude of elders in the community who have generously given their time and talent to the betterment of society,” Moffett said. “I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to play a role in the dynamic growth of our city, and I thank the Rotary Club of Carmel for acknowledging the efforts of the team I work alongside at Old Town through this award. Without the contributions of a passionate and committed team, none of the efforts for which I am being honored would have come to fruition.”

The Rotary Club of Carmel has a long tradition of recognizing individuals whose leadership and service create meaningful and lasting improvements in the community. Past recipients have represented a diverse range of civic, business, educational, and nonprofit leadership, all united by a commitment to making Carmel a better place to live, work, and serve.
