Join the Blackhawk Alumni Club

Are you a past Sheridan Community Schools (SCS) student, teacher, or employee? If so, you should join the Blackhawk Alumni Club. This club is a collection of individuals who share the same goal of staying informed and connected with SCS.

“Sheridan Community Schools has a long and incredible history of both former Blackhawk graduates and unbelievable employees,” SCS Superintendent Dr. Dave Mundy said. “We want to continue to make sure these individuals are a part of the school’s future and have a way to stay in contact, as well as involved, as we push towards a very bright future.”

Mundy also noted the importance of staying true to the district’s motto of “Once a Blackhawk, Always a Blackhawk.”

The Blackhawk Alumni Club hopes to recognize those who have made achievements to help make the Sheridan community a better place through its main initiative, the Alumni Wall of Fame. Members will also network and connect with fellow alumni and employees, receive a monthly newsletter with updates on SCS events and happenings, and receive invitations to special alumni events.

“I’m part of a dedicated group of individuals whose mission is to bring together a growing, thriving school system with those – like me – who once roamed the halls of Dear Old SHS,” Blackhawk Alumni Club President Chuck Godby said. “I hope everyone likes what we’re doing. Onward Sheridan!”

In order to be a part of the Blackhawk Alumni Club, there is a one-time fee of $50. This fee will fund special events at both the Fall and Winter homecomings as well as provide a monthly newsletter to the members. Members also receive a one-of-a-kind Alumni Club T-shirt.  The newsletter will be a recollection of all the great things that are going on in the community and schools.
