Jeremiah Schroeder has been hired by the City of Noblesville to serve as its recreation manager in the parks department, where he is responsible for planning, promoting and supervising recreation programs. He started his new role earlier this month.

Schroeder will oversee the recreation team, which includes three full-time and over 30 part-time staff members responsible for developing new programs and events. He will work with his team as they plan the parks’ day camps during spring, summer, fall and winter breaks, and manage facility rentals, auditorium performances, and other events at the Recreation Annex at Noblesville’s Ivy Tech Community College campus.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the Noblesville Parks’ team and help to continue to grow the strong camp and community programs,” said Schroeder. “I look forward to helping residents take advantage of our current offerings and develop new programs they can enjoy with their families.”
Schroeder has over 26 years of experience in the parks and recreation field, including 15 years at the City of Greenfield Parks and Recreation, as well as with the Coconut Creek (Fla.) Parks Department, City of Miramar (Fla.), and most recently with the Carmel Clay Parks and Recreation. Throughout his career, he has managed aspects of various parks departments which include day camps, recreation programs and events, while managing a team responsible for bringing quality programs to the community he serves.
“With his previous parks and recreation experience, Jeremiah will be a great asset to our team and to the City of Noblesville. He will be charged with helping to expand or improve our current offerings with new opportunities for the community to utilize our eight city parks, as well as rental facilities,” said Noblesville Parks Director Brandon Bennett. “We are excited to have him join our staff. His wide range of past experience and his passion for parks and recreation makes him a perfect fit to our team.”
Originally from Dayton, Schroeder grew up near Bloomington and graduated from Indiana University where he studied parks, recreation and leisure studies. Schroeder lives in Fishers with his wife and their two daughters.
