Jeffrey Douglas Clifton

March 13, 1964 – May 27, 2023

Jeffrey Douglas Clifton, 59, Carmel, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his lake house in North Webster from complications of ALS. He was blessed to have his dedicated and loving wife, Cecily, by his side who selflessly cared for him throughout his battle with ALS.

Jeff was born to Wendell Allen and Judith Lynn (Harshbarger) Clifton on March 13, 1964, in Columbia City, Ind. He married Cecily on March 11, 2011. Jeff and Cecily have spent the last three years in North Webster, Ind., where he enjoyed a lifetime of making memories on beautiful Lake Webster.

Jeff grew up in Carmel. He graduated from Carmel High School in 1982. He loved Colts football and spending time with family and friends. He had a 25-year career with UPS where he earned many awards.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cecily Clifton; his father, Wendell (Melinda) Clifton; his sister, Jennifer (Brian) Yahne; his stepsons, Griffin Tennent and Cooper Tennent; his nephews, Tyler (Jacey) Yahne and Cameron Yahne; and his niece, Kayleigh Yahne.

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Lynn Clifton, who passed away in 2010; as well as his grandparents, Lyle and Lavera Harshbarger, and Charles and Mary Clifton.

We will all miss him deeply and will continue to be inspired by his sense of humor which remained intact throughout his battle with ALS. The family thanks all the organizations that helped and supported Cecily and Jeff throughout his battle with ALS and allowed him to remain at home with Cecily. Special thanks to The Indiana University ALS Center at IU Health, The ALS Association Indiana Chapter, Team Gleason, and Stillwater Hospice. A heartfelt thank you to Angi Micheels at the IU ALS Center who truly went above and beyond providing support, answers, an ear, advice, and advocating on Jeff’s behalf.

The Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at 1 p.m. at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with Pastor Nelson Poynter officiating.
