James O. Cross

James O. Cross, 91, Noblesville, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2019 after a tragic accident.

James was a kind man, loyal friend, loving husband, father and grandfather. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. James graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and later earned a master’s degree at South Dakota University. He initially pursued a career in business and later taught as a Biology/Science teacher for Noblesville High School from 1961 to 1988. In his leisure time, James enjoyed traveling with his family. He had many interests including reading, music, gardening, botany and nature. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjorie Cross; his daughters, Dawn (Wayne) Moore, Pam Young, and Lisa (Tim) Cranston; his grandchildren, Amber (Aaron) Williams, Aaron (Adriann) Young, Adam (Tedsa) Moore, Jonathan Moore, Scott Cranston and Brandon Cranston; and several great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, James and Emma Cross, James is preceded in death by his siblings, Fred Cross, Ralph Cross, Carl Cross, May Taylor and Margaret Cross.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville.
