Jackson Township Fire Department has awarded the 2025 Rambo Scholarship to Adam Schluessler, a senior at Hamilton Heights High School.

The $1,000 scholarship honors the legacy of Arcenio “Rambo” Rumbaoa Jr., a beloved firefighter and paramedic who passed away in 2022.

Schluesser, a former Cadet firefighter and standout in the John Hinds Career Center Fire and Rescue program, plans to follow his family’s footsteps into firefighting and pursue his EMT certification.

“Adam represents the next generation of first responders: driven, dedicated, and ready to serve,” Chief James Carter said.

This is the fourth year the scholarship has been presented to a local graduate pursuing a career in emergency services or the medical field.
