Institute for Organization Management, the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, announces that Jack Russell, President & CEO of OneZone Chamber, has recently completed his first year at Institute for Organization Management, a four-year nonprofit leadership training program at the Midwest Institute in Madison, Wisconsin.
“Institute graduates are recognized across the country as leaders in their industries and organizations,” said Raymond P. Towle, IOM, CAE, the U.S. Chamber’s vice president of Institute for Organization Management. “These individuals have the knowledge, skills, and dedication necessary to achieve professional and organizational success in the dynamic association and chamber industries.”
Russell said his time spent at Institute for Organization Management will make him a better advocate for businesses through OneZone.
“I am honored to have completed my first year at Institute for Organization Management,” he said. “The opportunity to learn alongside chamber and association professionals from across the country, while gaining new perspectives on leadership, advocacy, and organizational excellence, will directly benefit OneZone Chamber and the businesses and communities we serve throughout Hamilton County.”
Since its commencement in 1921, the Institute program has educated tens of thousands of association, chamber, and nonprofit leaders on how to build stronger organizations, better serve their members, and become effective advocates for their communities. Institute’s curriculum consists of four weeklong sessions held at university locations throughout the country. Through a combination of required courses and electives in areas such as leadership, advocacy, marketing, finance, and membership, participants enhance their organizational management skills and gain practical tools to help their organizations operate more efficiently and effectively.
