Carmel Police Department will join the Merciful HELP Center for the annual Pack the Cruiser event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31.

Through its various programming, the Merciful HELP Center provides food support for Carmel Clay Schools students who qualify for the free and reduced school lunches.

Items purchased and funds raised during the annual Pack the Cruiser event help to contribute to the necessary staples needed.

Volunteers are needed to stand outside of two Carmel Kroger locations to hand out flyers and collect, organize, count, and pack food donations. Families and youth are welcome, but kids should be accompanied by an adult.
