The City of Carmel is officially launching its 2025 holiday season, inviting residents and visitors to experience a picture-perfect blend of classic charm and festive excitement.

Carmel transforms into a scene right out of a holiday movie with the return of these signature attractions:

  • Carmel Christkindlmarkt: Voted the best in the nation, this authentic German Christmas market is the heart of the holiday spirit. 22 to Dec. 24. Visit CarmelChristkindlmarkt.com.
  • The Ice at Carter Green: Lace up your skates for a memorable ice-skating experience in the shadow of City Hall. 22 to Feb. 1, 2026 Visit TheIceatCarterGreen.com for details.
  • Holidays in Carmel Kick-Off: Meet Santa and friends, enjoy opening day at the Market and the Ice and stay for the tree lighting! 22, 3 to 6:30 p.m.
  • The Magnificent Monon: Stroll down the Monon Greenway, illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights for a magical holiday walk.
  • International Winter Festival: New in 2025, enjoy global winter traditions and festivities with Carmel’s Sister Cities. 12, 7 to 8 p.m.

Beyond the main attractions, the city offers unique ways to celebrate:

  • Holiday Shopping: Discover unique, locally-sourced gifts in the city’s distinct districts: the Carmel Arts & Design District, Midtown Plaza, Carmel City Center, and the Village of WestClay. Support local business on Small Business Saturday during the Shop Small Shop Carmel event on Saturday, Nov. 29.
  • Festive Transportation: Ride the Holiday Trolley, which offers complimentary and convenient loops connecting Main Street, Carter Green, Midtown and City Center.
  • Santa Tours: Track Santa Claus and friends as they make their annual tours through Carmel neighborhoods to greet families.
