State Senator and U.S. Marine Corps veteran Scott Baldwin announced Thursday the endorsement of the Indiana Professional Fire Fighters PAC in his campaign for reelection to represent District 20.

“The Indiana Professional Fire Fighters PAC is pleased to endorse State Senator Scott Baldwin in his reelection campaign,” said Tony Murray, chairman of the Indiana Professional Fire Fighters PAC. “As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and former law enforcement officer, Senator Baldwin understands the challenges fire fighters and paramedics face every day. And as a state senator, he has proven to be an invaluable partner and a strong champion of fire fighters across the state.”

“I’m humbled to have earned the support of the Indiana Professional Fire Fighters PAC and want to thank the heroes it represents for their service and dedication to our communities,” Baldwin said. “I remain committed to ensuring our firefighters – and all those who risk their lives every day – have the support and resources they deserve.”

In the State Senate, Baldwin has championed efforts to strengthen public safety and support law enforcement and first responders. Those efforts included supporting funding for renovations to the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, local law enforcement training grants, pay raises for state troopers, construction of new regional firefighter training sites, equipment for volunteer firefighter departments and a PFAS biomonitoring pilot program, among others. He also supported the creation of the Hoosier First Responder Medal of Honor to recognize first responders who go above and beyond the call of duty in service to their fellow Hoosiers.

Baldwin, with more than 25 years of military and law enforcement experience, is a successful entrepreneur and business owner, a husband and a father of three.
