The IHSAA announced the baseball and softball sectional assignments for the 2025 and 2026 post-season tournaments.
In Class 4A, Hamilton County’s baseball and softball teams will continue to play in Sectional 8. Those schools are Carmel, Fishers, Hamilton Southeastern, Noblesville and Westfield; they will be grouped with Zionsville.
In Class 3A, Hamilton Heights’s baseball and softball teams will both play in Sectional 24, along with Connersville, Delta, Jay County, New Castle and Yorktown. Guerin Catholic’s baseball team will compete in Sectional 25, with Brebeuf Jesuit, Crawfordsville, Danville, Frankfort, Lebanon and Tri-West.
As for the Golden Eagles’ softball team, it will also play in Sectional 25, but with one less team. Guerin is grouped with Brebeuf Jesuit, Crawfordsville, Danville, Frankfort and Lebanon; Tri-West has been moved up to 4A.
In Class 2A, Sheridan will play in Sectional 39 for both baseball and softball. The Blackhawks are grouped with Elwood, Frankton, Lapel, Taylor and Tipton. University will compete in Sectional 42, also for both baseball and softball. The Trailblazers will compete with Covenant Christian, Cardinal Ritter, Monrovia, Park Tudor and Riverside.
