Huskies win sixth straight, will play LCC for third place in conference

Hamilton Heights won its sixth straight game Saturday, sailing past Tipton 74-22 in a Hoosier Conference game at the Husky Dome.
Heights led 31-14 at halftime and never allowed the Blue Devils more than nine points in a quarter. Three Huskies reached double figures, with Bayleigh Runner scoring 14 points. Ana Collar and Kayla Kirtley both scored 12.
Collar had a great defensive game as well, with nine rebounds and six steals. Lexi Branham handed out seven assists.
With the victory, Heights finished 3-1 in the conference’s East Division, good for second place. The Huskies will host Lafayette Central Catholic next Saturday (Jan. 20) in the conference’s third-place game. Before that, Heights will play two road games, first at Western Boone on Tuesday and Yorktown at Thursday.
The Huskies are now 12-6 on the season.
