Huskies take care of Tipton

Hamilton Heights finished up Hoosier Conference East Division play on a winning note, taking care of Tipton 46-28 in a Saturday afternoon home game.
The Huskies led 16-10 after the first quarter and 25-21 at halftime. Heights then had an outstanding defensive third period, allowing the Blue Devils only one point. That put the Huskies up 33-22 after three quarters, and they cruised through the fourth.
Jillian Osswald and Bayleigh Runner both scored 12 points for Heights, with Runner also getting eight rebounds, five assists and five steals. MyKayla Moran collected nine rebounds to go with eight points.
Heights finished 3-1 in the East, ensuring the Huskies no lower than a second-place finish in division play. Northwestern is 3-0 and has one more game to play, at Western on Tuesday. Heights is 11-10 overall and plays Tuesday at New Castle.
