The Hamilton Heights softball team was swept by Hoosier Conference East Division opponent Western this week.
On Tuesday, the Huskies fell 6-1 at the Panthers’ field. Heights scored its lone run in the top of the fifth inning, when Melanee Forrester singled in Taya Trosper. Lily Roush, Trosper and Kassidy Schakel also had base hits. Roush pitched a complete game, striking out 10.
Western got the sweep on Wednesday, beating the Huskies 11-0 in five innings at the Heights field. The Huskies had three hits, one each from Lily Cash, Forrester and Schakel. Roush pitched three innings with five strikeouts.
Heights is 3-3 and hosts Sheridan this afternoon.
