Hamilton Heights made the best out of a quickly-changing situation on Friday, as the Huskies won their impromptu game with Bluffton 21-14.
Heights was to host North Montgomery, but the Chargers had to cancel. So, the Huskies traveled to Bluffton and came home with their first victory of the season.
Bluffton led 6-0 after the first quarter. Heights got on the board early in the second when Guy Griffey made a three-yard touchdown run. Bluffton scored again to hold a 14-7 halftime lead.
The Huskies took the lead in the third quarter with two big touchdown scores. Gavin Bramel caught a 65-yard pass from Griffey early in the period, then Trey Ehman took off on a 51-yard run to the end zone midway through the quarter. Jonathan Glenn made all three extra-point kicks.
Ehman had a solid game, rushing for 177 yards.
Heights is 1-1 and travels to Rensselaer Central next Friday.
