The Hamilton Heights softball team fell in the semifinals of the Class 3A south semi-state at Jasper on Monday.
The Huskies lost to Tri-West 3-0 in the second game of the weather-delayed tournament. The Bruins scored all three of their runs in the second inning, while allowing the Huskies just one hit, a double by Lily Roush in the seventh inning.
Roush, headed to IU-Indianapolis in the fall, pitched a complete game for Heights, striking out six.
The Huskies finished their season 22-8, setting a new record for season wins, including a defense of their sectional championship and their first regional title in eight years.
