Hamilton Heights dropped a tough first-round game at the Class 3A New Castle sectional on Tuesday, falling to Connersville 44-42.
The Huskies led 14-10 after one quarter, with Carson Felger hitting two 3-pointers. Heights went up 26-17 at halftime, but the Spartans cut that lead to 33-31 after three quarters. Connersville outscored the Huskies 13-9 in the fourth to get the win.
Felger led Heights with 13 points and nine rebounds. Dreydin Serna also collected nine rebounds. Tyler Champion scored nine points, hitting two 3s.
The Huskies finished their season 14-9.
