Hamilton Heights was handed a tough loss at Twin Lakes on Friday, as the Indians beat the Huskies 49-48 in the Hoosier Conference third-place game.
Heights led 16-14 after one quarter, with Tillman Etchison scoring 12 points in that period. The Huskies stayed ahead at halftime, 24-22. Twin Lakes surged ahead 39-35 after three periods. Heights came back to lead 48-47, but the Indians made two free throws with 3.4 seconds left to get the win.
Etchison finished with 24 points, including three 3-pointers and collected five rebounds. John Irion scored 11 points.
The Huskies finished fourth in the conference and are 9-12 overall. Heights travels to Rushville on Tuesday to complete the regular season.
