The Hamilton Heights boys swim team won its last home meet of the season Tuesday, beating Anderson 98-82.
The Huskies won seven of the 12 events, including 1-2 finishes in three events. In the medley relay, Grant Forrer, Owen Van Haaren, Eli VanHaaren and Noah Shlater teamed up to win that race, with Gabe Roosa, Alex Knepper, Blake Blackhurst and Cole Martin placing second. Towards the end of the meet, Roosa won the backstroke, with Owen VanHaaren taking second. Nathan Cox won diving, with Ethan Swart placing second.
Eli VanHaaren was a double winner, in the 200 freestyle and butterfly, while Knepper was first in the breaststroke. Owen VanHaaren, Knepper, Shlater and Eli VanHaaren teamed up to place first in the 200 free relay. Landon Poland was named the MVP of the meet after swimming the 500 free, breaststroke, and the 200 free relay.
“With only 10 boys swimming tonight, they came together and had some really great races,” said Heights coach Jenni Clarke.
