On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Hamilton County Veterans Corp. (HCVC), with assistance from the Good Samaritan Network of Hamilton County, hosted a very successful Community Resource Fair with a focus on our Military Veteran community (MVC).

They brought in 52 tables of resources and services who were able to connect with the 250 to 300 guests who came through the Boys and Girls Club of Noblesville.

“Being able to connect just one person in their time of need to the services or resources that will address their needs, is such a heartwarming experience,” HCVC Secretary Lynn Epperson said. “We are so thankful of all our resource partners for being there, caring for our community. And, oh yes, we did help many more than one today.”

Even though several resource partners were unable to be there due to fall break and the government shutdown, connections were still made as most of the resources/services work together and were able to answer questions and make the proper connections for their residents. The morning rush, which was mostly the Hamilton County Military Veteran community, lasted for 2.5 hours. Then from 12:30 p.m. on it was a slowing flow of Hamilton County residents being helped. As the flow of guests slowed, it gave time to all the resources and services to network and make even tighter bonds to better care for Hamilton County in the future.

It was a wonderful day for all involved! Pay attention to gsnlive.org for the next Hamilton County Community Resource Fair, which will be around June 2026 at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, Silos at 37.
