The Carmel and Hamilton Southeastern track and field teams participated in the Charlie Riley Invitational Friday at North Central.
In the girls meet, the Royals finished second place with a score of 131.5 points, just behind Center Grove’s 144 points. Southeastern claimed five events, including the 4×800 and 4×400 relays. Individual winners were Ally Elsbury in the 300 hurdles, Jehnea Mirro in the long jump and Ella Wilhelm in the pole vault.
The Greyhounds girls team placed fourth, scoring 98.5 points. Emily Norris took second in the 100 dash and long jump, with the Carmel 4×100 relay team also finishing as runner-up.
In the boys meet, the Greyhounds placed second with 97 points; Center Grove ran away with that meet by totaling 181 points. Aydrian Caldwell won the high jump for Carmel.
Southeastern scored 61.5 points to finish fifth. Lamine Sall led the Royals with a runner-up placing in the long jump.
