Hamilton Southeastern dropped its regular-season finale on Thursday, falling at home to North Central 66-47.
The Panthers jumped out to a 16-5 lead after one quarter, extending it to 29-14 by halftime. The Royals got their offense going with 20 points in the third period, keeping them within 47-34 going into the fourth quarter, but North Central outscored Southeastern 19-13 in the fourth.
Donovan Hamilton scored 21 points for the Royals. Michael Griffith led the rebounds with six, while Braeden Totten had five.
Southeastern finished the regular season 15-7 and plays at Class 4A Sectional 8 in Noblesville next week. The Royals will take on the winner of Tuesday’s first-round game between Carmel and Fishers in the Friday, March 1 semifinals at approximately 7:30 p.m.
