‘Hounds roll to ninth straight win

Carmel rolled to its ninth straight victory on Saturday, winning at Fort Wayne Carroll 61-32.
The Greyhounds outscored the Chargers in each quarter, leading 11-7 after the first period and 28-19 at halftime. Bridget Dunn had 10 points in the second quarter alone. Carmel then poured in 23 points in the third period, with Riley Pennington scoring 14.
Dunn, Pennington and Kate Clarke all finished the game with 16 points. Dunn made 7 of 8 free throws, while Pennington was a perfect 6-for-6. Clarke made two 3-pointers.
The Greyhounds are 12-6 for the season and go back on the road Tuesday to play at Fishers in an all-county game.
