Carmel traveled to Warren Central Friday night and came home with a 44-40 victory over the Warriors.
The Greyhounds led 14-13 after one quarter. Warren Central jumped ahead 27-23 at halftime, but Carmel put together a nice defensive third period, allowing the Warriors only four points. That got the ‘Hounds back in front 33-31 at the end of the third, and they held on in the fourth to get the win.
Alex Couto scored 16 points to lead Carmel. Evan Harrell had 12 points and dished out four assists. Mitchell Mulloy pulled four rebounds.
The Greyhounds are 11-10 and finish the regular season Tuesday by hosting Crispus Attucks.
