‘Hounds drop MIC finale at Warren

Carmel dropped its Metropolitan Conference finale Friday at Warren Central by the score of 58-50.
The Warriors led 21-15 after the first quarter. The Greyhounds cut that lead to 29-26 by halftime, but Warren took control in the third period, going up 49-32 by the end of the quarter. Carmel outscored the Warriors 18-9 in the fourth, but the Warren lead was too much to overcome.
Brian Waddell scored 21 points for the ‘Hounds, with Peter Suder adding 10 points. Bryce Beery collected seven rebounds and blocked two shots, while Jackson Jannsen dished out six assists.
Carmel finished its MIC season 4-3 and is 13-7 overall. The Greyhounds play tonight at Warsaw.
