Class 3A Sectional 27 host Guerin Catholic won its opening game on Tuesday, beating Shortridge 50-10 at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles led 15-3 after the first quarter, with Kathryn Loso scoring eight points. Guerin Catholic then swept to a 34-4 halftime advantage, with Megan Cobb adding seven points in the second period. The Golden Eagles then led 44-4 after three quarters.
Loso, Katie Koger and Cobb all scored 10 points. Ava Bills added eight points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
Guerin Catholic improved to 13-10 and will play Lebanon in the semi-finals, which are scheduled for Friday, weather permitting.
