Hoosiers are ready for conservative clean energy solutions

Indiana’s statewide elected officials are showing their constituents, the D.C. elite, and the world how to lead on conservative clean energy policy. We must continue to build on the momentum we are already seeing by prioritizing clean energy investments to power a stronger, and cleaner 21st century economy.

Governor Holcomb stood alongside Toyota in April 2021 when they announced an $800 million investment in retooling their Princeton, Ind., plant that will add an additional 1,400 jobs. His two international trips this spring to Europe and Israel included discussions about the development of electric vehicles. These trips include conversations with world leaders on clean energy, particularly strengthening ties with Doral Renewables, the Israeli developer building the country’s largest solar farm in Indiana.

Senator Todd Young’s Endless Frontiers Act, as part of the larger United States Innovation and Competition Act, seeks to give Americans a competitive advantage in research and development of these new clean energy technologies. Senator Mike Braun successfully moved the Growing Climate Solutions Act through the Senate last year with a vote of 92-8, a rare bipartisan accomplishment aimed at allowing farmers to participate in fair carbon markets.

By leveraging their conservative values of pragmatic decision making, free-market enterprise, and innovation, Governor Holcomb and Senators Braun and Young are putting Indiana on the map for their necessary leadership from the right regarding clean energy. For that, Hoosiers will live in a more reliable, renewable, and affordable energy future.
