In partnership with the Fishers Armed Services Commission, join the City of Fishers to honor the servicemen and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom at this special ceremony from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30 at the Gold Star Families Memorial Monument on the Central Green in front of Fishers City Hall, 1 Municipal Drive.
This year’s guest speaker is Fishers resident Retired Brigadier General Don Canaday.
In the event of severe weather, the event will be moved to an indoor location, which will be announced in the coming days. Registration for the event is not required, but by filling out this online form, attendees will be notified of the cancellation. The ceremony will also be livestreamed on the City of Fishers Facebook page.
While at the ceremony, take a stroll around the Nickel Plate Amphitheater to the north of City Hall to see the light pole banners on display honoring local veterans and active duty servicemembers. Meet local heroes and honor a veteran on a pole banner by completing this online form.
The Fishers Armed Services Commission stands to further Fishers in becoming a community in which military service is honored and recognized as a key component to the city’s vibrancy.
