Heights, Noblesville & Carmel get victories, Fishers beats Southeastern

The Hamilton Heights boys soccer team cruised past Benton Central 5-0 on a Tuesday in the first round of the Hoosier Conference tournament.

Micah Colvin scored two goals for the Huskies, followed by one each for Cameron Wheat, Bryce Hutcherson, Sam Harpham and Caden Cox. Noah Cordero and Wheat both made one assist.

The Huskies improved to a 6-0-2 with the win.

Fishers’ boys won a weather-shortened Mudsock game over Hamilton Southeastern Tuesday, by the score of 2-1.

Stats were not available at press time. The Tigers are 4-2-2 and play Thursday at Pendleton Heights, while the Royals are 4-3-2 and also play Thursday at Guerin Catholic.

Noblesville’s boys won an all-county game with Westfield 2-0 on Tuesday.

The Millers are 5-0-5 and host Southport on Tuesday. The Shamrocks are 3-4 and are off until next Tuesday when they host Hamilton Southeastern.

The Carmel boys cruised past Lawrence North 5-0 Tuesday in its Senior Night game, which was halted by severe weather in the first half.

Christian Nielsen scored two goals for the Greyhounds, with Nick Basso, Johnny Gourley and Dawson Droste all scoring one.

Carmel is 6-0-1 and hosts Columbus North on Friday.

The Carmel girls team went to Lawrence North on Tuesday, where the Greyhounds won 4-0.

Adalyn Cameron scored the first goal with Emily Boyer making the assist, then Megan Hamm put in a goal on a pass from Olivia Cebalo. Olivia Joyce scored unassisted, then Hamm scored her second goal from a Vaughn Rohrbacher cross. Chloe Fouts got the shutout.

Carmel is 8-0-2 and plays Chesterton Saturday.

Sheridan’s boys dropped a 4-0 game Tuesday at Blackford.

The Blackhawks are 0-1-3 and host Tri-Central Thursday in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
