The Hamilton Heights swimming and diving teams competed in the Hoosier Conference meet this past weekend.
The Huskies boys team finished in third place. Nathan Cox and Ethan Swart went 1-2 in diving; Cox won with a new Heights school record of 512.70 points. The 200 medley relay team of Grant Forrer, Owen VanHaaren, Eli VanHaaren and Noah Shlater placed second in that event.
In the girls meet, the Huskies placed fourth, just four points off third place. Teegan Madara won two events; she was first in the 500 freestyle in a new conference meet record of 5 minutes, 6.99 seconds. Madara also set a new school record while winning the breaststroke, in a time of 1:08.03.
Madara was part of the runner-up medley relay team, with Sophia Hulen, Kennedy Weaver and Mady Hutcherson. Campbell Lively-Mason took second in diving.
