Heights 8th-grade volleyball team nets MIC Championship

For the second year in a row, Hamilton Heights Middle School’s eighth-grade volleyball teams rose to the challenge of tournament competition to bring home the Mid-Indiana Conference (MIC) Championship title.

The Lady Huskies eighth-grade team beat the Tipton Blue Devils in the first round of the tournament 25-6 and 25-20. The played the Logansport Berries Saturday winning them in two games 25-10 and 25-12. They faced the Western Panthers and won 25-11 and 25-8 for the championship game.

“The girls played incredibly!” Coach Shalyn Garrison said. “They played as a team and in sync with each other! I couldn’t be more proud of these girls and how much they have improved throughout the season!”
