Hamilton Heights junior Bailey Haworth placed fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 10.86 Saturday at the Trine University Invitational.
“It wasn’t the time and finish we wanted, but Bailey has had a long season in track with me and diving with the school,” said her coach K.O. Jackson of the K-Town Elite Track Club.
According to Indianarunner.com she is still among the top 10 hurdlers in the state and this meet will help prepare her for the Hoosier State Relays in two weeks, March 3 at Indiana Wesleyan University.
“We both know we have to get faster real quick,” said Jackson. “We want to be one of the best sprinter/hurdlers in the state. Our club had six indoor meets this season – four with college athletes and two with age-group competition. We are prepared and ready for a successful spring session in high school and a summer Junior Olympic season.”
