‘Hawks stunned by South Putnam’s big fourth quarter

Sheridan was stunned at South Putnam on Saturday, as a big fourth quarter from the Eagles sent the Blackhawks to a 65-49 defeat.
Sheridan led 15-10 after the first quarter, but South Putnam came back to hold a 25-22 advantage at halftime. The ‘Hawks cut that lead to 38-37 after three periods, but the Eagles poured in 27 points in the fourth to take the game.
Kyle Eden scored 23 points for Sheridan, with Nolan Buckner adding 10 points and making four steals. Ethan Moistner led the rebounding with nine.
The Blackhawks are 5-13 and return to Hobbs Memorial Gymnasium on Friday to host Carroll in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
