Sheridan dropped its final Hoosier Heartland Conference game of the season on Thursday, falling to Rossville 43-38 at Hobbs Memorial Gymnasium.
The Hornets led 13-9 after the first quarter, but the Blackhawks had pulled to within 19-18 at halftime. Rossville pulled away in the fourth period to clinch the game.
Ange Gnamkey scored nine points for Sheridan, and also collected 11 rebounds and blocked three shots. Nick Burnell had nine rebounds.
The ‘Hawks finished HHC play at 4-2, and will finish third in the conference. Clinton Prairie leads the league at 5-0 with one more game to play, while the Hornets completed HHC play at 5-1.
Sheridan’s next game is Saturday afternoon at North Miami.
