The Sheridan boys basketball team kept its Hoosier Heartland Conference record perfect on Friday night, beating Tri-Central 66-50 at Larry Hobbs Gymnasium, part of a conference girls-boys doubleheader.
The Blackhawks outscored the Trojans in each quarter, starting with a 12-11 lead after the first period. Caleb Wright and Trey Page both had five points in the first. Sheridan led 31-23 at halftime, with Page pouring in 14 points during the second quarter.
Damon Winston took over in the third period, scoring eight points and helping the ‘Hawks to a 44-31 advantage. Sheridan finished things off with a 22-point fourth period; Page totaled 10 points in that quarter and Winston added another six.
Page finished the game with 29 points, nailing five 3-pointers. Winston totaled 16 points, led the rebounds with eight and also made six steals. Wright scored 13 points and dished out nine assists. Winston and Devon Hamilton both had two blocked shots.
The Blackhawks are 4-0 in conference play and 9-2 overall. Sheridan goes on the road to Rossville tonight for another HHC contest.
