The REPORTER
The Hamilton County Reporter has named Hamilton Southeastern senior Lauren Harden as its Volleyball Player of the Year.
Harden’s leadership and hitting ability stood out even on a Royals team filled with Division I players, a team that powered to an undefeated 33-0 season and second consecutive Class 4A state championship. Harden hit 371 kills and served 21 aces, and was just as adept on defense with 161 digs and 38 blocks. Harden is shown here during halftime of Friday’s Hamilton Southeastern-Fishers boys basketball game after receiving her MaxPreps National Player of the Year award; she is pictured with Royals coach Jason Young. Harden has committed to play volleyball at the University of Florida.
