Hamilton East Public Library (HEPL) invites community members to help shape the future of its third library branch, which is planned for Wayne Township.
The new branch will be located off Olio Road between 146th and 156th streets and is expected to break ground in 2027. As planning moves forward, HEPL is seeking input from the community about what residents want to see in the new library.
Community members can share their ideas about the branch’s design, atmosphere, spaces, services, and amenities. Ideas could include everything from meeting rooms and cozy seating areas to gathering spaces, a coffee shop, and more.
HEPL will hold two open house-style focus groups where community members can stop by, share ideas and provide feedback:
- Tuesday, Sept. 22, 5 to 7 p.m. at Fishers Library
- Wednesday, Sept. 23, 5 to 7 p.m. at Noblesville Library
No registration is required. Community members can stop by anytime between 5 and 7 p.m. to share their thoughts and help shape the future of HEPL.

“We’re excited to take the next step toward bringing a third HEPL location to the community, and we want residents to have a voice in what that library becomes,” Library Director Melissa Loiselle said. “This is an opportunity for our community to help us imagine what this branch can look like and what it can offer to the people who will use it.”
