Noblesville freshman Aidan Kincaide is this year’s Hamilton County Reporter Wrestler of the Year.
Kincaide put together solid results throughout the regular season but turned it on in his first-ever postseason. The 157-pounder won sectional and regional championships and placed a very close second at the tough New Castle semi-state to Warren Central’s Anthony Cashman, with the senior winning in overtime.
At the IHSAA state finals, Kincaide became the county’s highest placer, taking fourth, with Cashman besting him 3-2 in the third-place match. Kincaide was ranked 12th in the Indianamat.com rankings, but beat two wrestlers rated ahead of him to make it to the top four.
