I was extremely saddened to hear of the passing of my friend Paul Ayers. I would see him every Thursday morning at 6:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. I sure didn’t know that Thursday would be the last time I prayed with him.
Paul was a man of great faith, a caring public servant & devoted family man. My sincere condolences to the Ayers family during this difficult time.

Hamilton County Commissioner

Paul Ayers was always an honest and honorable man. Since the day I met him, he has always been a trusted friend. When we served on Council together, he always voted based on principle and never on politics or grievances. He was always above any pettiness and conducted himself like a statesman. Since he left Council, he has continued to be my close friend and someone I go to for advice. We talked for a half hour on his last day, and he was full of energy and valuable insight as always. I will miss Paul dearly but know he is flying with the angels. They are lucky to have him.

The news of Paul Ayers passing was saddening. He was a principled man and someone that you could count on to be steadfast in his beliefs. He lived a life of service having served his country as a Marine, his community as a councilman, and his God through his actions. We will miss him greatly but know that we are all better off for having known him.
