Gymnastics: Rocks, Millers’ Bittles compete at regionals

The Westfield gymnastics team and Noblesville’s Valorey Bittles competed at their respective IHSAA regionals last weekend.

Bittles traveled to The Gymnastics Company last Friday evening to compete in the Franklin Central regional as an all-around gymnast. She finished 10^th with a total score of 33.575. Bittles’ top event was the balance beam, where she tied for seventh with a score of 8.85. In the other events, Bittles scored an 8.225 on the vault, an 8.00 on the uneven bars and 8.50 on the floor exercise.

The next day, the Shamrocks traveled to Portage for their regional competition. Westfield placed fifth with a team score of 101.45.

Senior Isa Galan had the top result for the ‘Rocks, tying for 11^th on the balance beam with a score of 9.025.
