Greyhounds pull away from Attucks

Carmel got its second consecutive big win, stunning Class 4A No. 8 Crispus Attucks 75-52 Tuesday in the Greyhounds’ Senior Night game at the Eric Clark Activity Center.
Carmel led 19-10 after the first quarter. The Tigers were still within 29-21 at halftime, but the ‘Hounds took over in the third period, outscoring Attucks 25-13. A 21-point fourth quarter clinched the game.
Jackson Jannsen had an outstanding night, making six 3-pointers on his way to 26 points. Peter Suder reached double-double status with 20 points and 11 rebounds, making three 3s and also dishing out five assists.
Brian Waddell added 15 points, and Charlie Williams made it four Carmel players in double figures with 10 points; he also collected six rebounds. Connor Gioia had seven assists and five rebounds.
The Greyhounds finished the regular season 15-7 and will play Hamilton Southeastern next Tuesday in the first round of the Noblesville sectional.
