Greyhounds get great road win at Ben Davis

The Carmel boys basketball team got a tremendous road win on Friday, beating Ben Davis 39-36.

The Giants, ranked No. 10 in the IBCA one-class poll, led 12-8 after the first quarter. The Greyhounds cut that lead to 17-16 by halftime. Both teams scored 11 points in the fourth. Ben Davis led 36-35 late, but a Ryan Clevenger basket got Carmel in front, and the ‘Hounds held on for the win.

Clevenger and Evan Harrell both scored 12 points. Aiden Dickerson led the rebounds with nine, followed by Harrell with seven.

Carmel is 7-9 and hosts Class 4A No. 1 Fishers tonight.
