The Carmel girls golf team had another outstanding day on Saturday, winning the Center Grove Trojan Classic at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood.
The Greyhounds totaled a team score of 290 and had three players finish in the top seven. Ava Nguyen was the individual runner-up with a one-under par 70, Sophie Mock tied for third with a 71 and Michaela Headlee tied for fifth with a 73.
Westfield finished third as a team with a score of 302. Samantha Brown’s 71 also tied her third place, while Kelsey Haverluck was part of the fifth-place tie by scoring 73.
Hamilton Southeastern placed sixth with a 336. Janelle Garcia tied for eighth individually with a 74. Guerin Catholic scored a 356; Sydney Delagrange was the Golden Eagles’ low woman with a 79.

Noblesville was the runner-up at the 14-team Connersville Invitational on Saturday.
The Millers scored a 331, behind only champion Batesville’s 327. Caroline Whallon was the individual runner-up with a score of 76. Other Noblesville scores were Josie Kelley 80, Jordan Adam 87, Karis Shields 88 and Olivia Anderson 96.
